If you're considering hiring me for your event, thank you for your interest! Here's a brief overview on what working with me looks like:
- No Overhead for Clubs: There's no financial burden for clubs when hiring me. I cover all my expenses and rely solely on photo sales for income.
- Exclusive Photography Rights: To maximize sales and ensure the best quality photos, I request exclusive photography rights as the Official Event Photographer. This means no other cameras are allowed in designated areas such as the catch pen, track, or sidelines. Other cameras, even for personal use, can significantly affect my sales. I travel long distances to capture events, often times with overhead in the hundreds to thousands of dollars, so it's crucial to maintain exclusivity.
- Respectful Use of Phones: While other cameras are restricted, attendees are welcome to use their phones for personal footage. If someone prefers not to be photographed, they can request for me to step out of the area.
- Safety Measures: I adhere to AKC regulations requiring a minimum run out length of 30 yards in order to photograph and event. 50 yards is ideal as I am able to capture the icon "bag shots" more frequently/easily with more room to place myself. Safety of dogs is of utmost importance to me at these events. My positioning is based on capturing the best shot while causing the absolutely least amount of interference possible. Communication with lure operators also ensures alignment and minimizes risks. I do not bring unnecessary equipment into the pen, such as extra lenses, cameras, or tripods, which could also pose risks to dogs.
- Safety Record: I have 7 years of experience photographing FCATs, CATs, and other coursing events nationwide. Additionally, I actively compete with my own dogs so I understand event dynamics and dog behavior. Throughout my years of photographing CAT events of all types, I have maintained a clean safety record, with no incidents or injuries occurring.
